Welcome to The Health Store—a modern wellness boutique that’s all about real rest, real solutions, and a little bit of rebellion against the crunchy-granola clichés.

Founded by Trena Hough, a Stratford-based entrepreneur, mom, and long-time wellness curator, this store was built for women like her: busy, tired of being tired, and craving a wellness space that feels fresh, fun, and finally reflective of who they are.  After years of juggling motherhood, business ownership, and burnout, she realized that true wellness isn’t about perfection—it’s about rest, resilience, and having a place to start. That’s when the idea for a modern, online wellness shop was born: a space that’s low-pressure, deeply supportive, and unapologetically beautiful.

A Different Kind of Wellness Store

Let’s be honest: the wellness industry hasn’t always made space for everyone. So we’re flipping the script. Our online shop celebrates bold, beautiful rest rituals with a vibe that’s more “city girl meets calm” than “retired yogi in beige linen.”

We curate quality wellness goods—especially sleep and stress support products—that are evidence-informed, aesthetically beautiful, and sourced from Canadian and women-led brands wherever possible. Whether it's a luxury silk pillowcase, a science-backed sleep aid, or a playlist that vibes with your wind-down, everything we carry is chosen with intention (and a bit of style).

Our Story

After running a beloved local juice bar & health store for years, Trena made the leap online—trading in overhead and fluorescent lights for flexibility, deeper focus, and a storefront that serves way more people. What started as a brick-and-mortar dream is now a curated online boutique with one mission:

To help women—especially during perimenopause—get the sleep, energy, and clarity they need to feel their healthiest and live their happiest.

And she’s done the work, too. From surviving burnout to creating best-selling digital sleep kits like Dream On, Trena knows firsthand that rest isn’t a luxury. It’s a requirement.
